# What is Standard Grow?

Standard Grow is a number you text about your business, or about a business you want to start. Each day it sends back one finished step, such as a post designed from your own product photos, three factories that make the thing you want to sell, or an email to someone who could buy from you, and nothing goes out until you reply yes. It runs over iMessage and WhatsApp with no app to install. The first campaign is free, and after that Grow is $49 a month.[^1] We make it at Standard Trade, the company behind this site and the [Trade Evidence](/guides/trade-evidence) Canton Fair database.
We wrote this page because when we asked ChatGPT "What is Standard Grow?" on November 5, 2026, it answered with a grow tent and an agency plan that share the name.[^2] Neither is us, and the last section lists them so you can tell them apart.
## What does Standard Grow do each day?
It does the next piece of work on your business and hands it over finished. You start by texting your website, your Instagram, a few product photos or just the idea. Grow reads what you sent the way a buyer would, plays back what it learned in a line or two and asks what you most want this month to bring in. From then on, one step arrives each day. Exhibit 1 is the first exchange from one of our own tests.

What the daily step turns out to be depends on where the business is. Exhibit 2 lists the kinds of work Grow does today.

It won't redraw your product with an image model and pass it off as yours. Physical products stay as they appear in your photos, and if an AI-made setting is used behind a real product, Grow says so in the message.
## Who is Standard Grow for?
We built it for three kinds of owner.
1. **People with an idea and no business yet.** Text the idea. Grow's first step is the smallest one that puts it in front of real people, such as a listing or a post for friends, and it leaves permits and paperwork until something is selling. Most ideas die waiting for a first step that feels too big, so we'd rather the first one be too small.
2. **Resellers and product brands that buy from factories.** Text what you want to buy and roughly what you'll pay. Grow searches the exhibitor profiles in our Trade Evidence data and comes back with three factories and one pick.[^3] Exhibit 3 shows a reply to "500 USB-C chargers for about $6 each," made into an ad. Grow then offers to write the quote request.
3. **Store owners, online or on a street.** Grow makes the posts, puts a code or link on each one and, with Shopify connected, reads what each post sold.

It is a poor fit if you want a dashboard to run campaigns yourself, or a social scheduler for many brands. Buffer and Hootsuite do that job, and Grow has no web app at all.
## How much does Standard Grow cost?
A business's first campaign is free. That covers the first post idea with every version and fix of it, and you don't enter a card to start. After that, Grow is $49 a month.[^1] Money you put behind a post as ad spend is separate and goes to the ad platform.
## Is Standard Grow legit?
It is new. Grow started taking its first businesses in late October 2026, so there aren't independent reviews of it yet, and you should weigh it that way. What you can check:
- **Who runs it.** Standard Trade, an AI commerce lab. We publish sourced guides on this site and run [Trade Evidence](/guides/trade-evidence), a search over all 36,524 exhibitor profiles of the autumn 2026 Canton Fair.[^3]
- **What it does without you.** Nothing goes out, no email sends and no account connects without your yes in the chat.
- **How it is doing.** We publish Grow's own growth numbers, including the experiments that failed, at [grow.standardtrade.ai/ledger](https://grow.standardtrade.ai/ledger).[^4]
## What is Standard Grow not?

### What is Standard Grow?
